What is a General Investment Account (GIA)?

A General Investment Account (GIA) doesn't have any tax advantages but it's a good way to continue to save and invest if you've already reached your ISA allowance for the year. There is no limit to how much you can save into a GIA but unlike an ISA, any interest earnings, dividends or investment growth are subject to tax.
