Is it more expensive to invest ethically?

All funds charge different amounts. Usually passive funds are cheaper than active funds and ethical funds come in both active and passive forms. If you find an ethical fund that is more expensive than a normal fund, it might be to do with scale; a fund that has more assets under management will usually be cheaper due to economies of scale. While ESG focused funds are growing in popularity many might not be at that stage just yet.
